TEX Rail
The T is developing plans for a rail line in a Southwest-to-Northeast Rail Corridor - across Tarrant County. The proposed commuter route follows existing rail lines from Sycamore School Road in southwest Fort Worth, through downtown Fort Worth, northeast to downtown Grapevine and then into the north entrance of Dallas-Fort Worth Airport. It has been planned for start up in 2015.

Plans are underway for The T's, newly named "TEXRail" commuter rail corridor.
Construction Industry Outreach Forum
The Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The T) hosted a Construction Industry Outreach Forum on October 7, 2011 to present the TEX Rail project to the Construction Industry; discuss the project schedule and the proposed project delivery plan; and finally to solicit feedback from the Construction Industry on the current delivery plan and ways to improve project implementation.

A variety of potential Prime Contractors, Sub-Contractors, and Consultants were in attendance. Interested Contractors were encouraged to schedule one-on-one meetings with The T and Program Management Consultant to further discuss the project.
